Welcome to the Walthamstow Pumphouse Museum
Formerly known as the Lea Valley Experience, the Pumphouse Museum is currently being transformed into
London’s new steam and transport museum.
It is proposed to have the Pump House development completed by April 2012, and the full development completed in the summer of 2013.
The project is being developed in and around the Grade II listed Low
Hall Victorian Pumping Station and its rare Marshall C class steam engines.
Today the museum
is home to a growing collection of transport, artifacts and displays, interpreting the nationally
important steam and transport first achievements of the Lea Valley Corridor.
